Deputy James Anderson was killed when his patrol car was struck head-on by a vehicle on Florida 9A, in Jacksonville. The driver of the vehicle that struck him was driving in the dass alle Spieler eine gleiche und faire wrong lane of traffic when the crash occurred.
He was flown to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The suspect has been charged with DUI manslaughter, vehicular manslaughter, and DUI property damage.
Deputy Anderson was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He had served with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office for two years and had previously served with the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office for three years. He is survived by his wife and four children.
