Fort Myers Police Department
End of Watch July 28, 2018
Before he pursued his dream as a Law Enforcement Officer in Southwest Florida, Adam was a Volunteer Firefighter in New Jersey. Adam eventually moved down to Southwest Florida and attended the SWFL Public Safety Academy, Class #137. Every class has a class motto; ours was “Strength and Honor”.
Adam graduated from the law enforcement academy on June 8, 2015, and was hired shortly after by the Fort Myers Police Department. While on duty, on July 21st 2018, Adam was shot and critically wounded and he succumbed to his injuries a week later. Officer Jobbers-Miller was trying to arrest a fleeing suspect. The subject was quickly apprehended after additional gunfire with officers that arrived on scene.
